Info Session for Field Hospital Volunteers

Volunteers wishing to take part in The Trench at Bodmin as WW1 nurses and field hospital staff are invited to come along to Cornwall's Regimental Museum on the 17 April between 19:00 and 20:30 [NB - not the 21st April as stated in the recent newsletter email].

This is your chance to meet some of the team, take a look at the uniforms you will be wearing, find out how to make prosthetic wounds, and ask any questions you may have about becoming involved with this ambitious project.

The event is being hosted by the Wenches in Trenches: a group of women who tour the UK and Europe with their authentic WW1 tented dressing station, complete with approximately 600 original instruments. As well as fundraising for military charities and memorials, the group promote the education of WW1 medicine and nursing, and aim to honour the memories of the brave women who left their safe homes in UK to nurse the injured during WW1.

Find out more or contact them on their website www.wenchesintrenches.co.uk or find them on Facebook: Wenches In Trenches - Roses Of No Man’s Land

Parking and refreshments will be available at the museum. For more information about the venue visit www.cornwalls-regimentalmuseum.org
